Most DVS and Blu-Ray are formatted for one or more surround sound formats. DVD Player can play DVD of all Countries, because they are region free. Blu-Rays players are region protected i.e they can not play the content of all countries.Region codes for Blu-rays Discs.
Region A- North America, South America, Central America, Japan, Korea, North Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and S.E Asea.
Region B- Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand.
Region C- Rusia, China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Central And South Asia.
Note- Many cities in India sell Blu-Ray discs that have the Region A or B. These disc will not paly on Blu-Ray that have region code-C. if You have a region code C Blu-Ray player then you can not play region code A or B discs.
