Technology used in a LCD

Technology used in a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).

In an LCD TV, Two layers Polarized Glass encase a layer of liquid crystal.

The liquid crystal layer is stimulated by an electrical current causing individual pixel to either shut out light, or let it pass through.

In this way each pixel can be either light or dark. The use of colour filters gives the necessary Red, Green and Blue light in order to create a colourful image.
Technology used in a LED (Light Emitting Diodes)

The technology used in LED Display is same as that of LCD Displays. The only difference is of the back light used. Back light used in LCD Displays is CCFL Lamps. Back light used in LCD Displays is LED Laps.

Technology used in Plasma TVs.

The Basis of a Plasma Display is to illuminate tiny colored fluorescent light to form an image. Each pixel is made up of three fluorescent light a LED light, a green light and a Blue light. Just like a CRT TVs, the plasma display varies the intensities of the different light to produce a full range of colours.

Technology used in 3D TVs.

We can not see the three dimensionally with just one eye. Our brain has to put the two images together before we can see one three dimensional image. 3D TVs alternate rapidly between images shot from two different perspectives. The image are shown fast enough that one perceives it as a single 3D image.

Types of 3D

1} Anaglyphic 3D (With passive red cyan lenses) 2} Polarization 3D (With passive polarized lenses) 3} Alternate frame sequencing (With active shutter lenses) 4} Auto stereoscopic display {Without lenses}

Brightness how bright an image can be on your Mobile High brightness is required when the outside of room in very bright

Contrast Ratio and Brightness

Brightness: - It refers to how bright an image can be on your Mobile High brightness is required when the outside of room in very bright area.

Contrast Ratio:- Contrast ratio is the difference between black and white color display on Mobile. The higher contrast ratio, black shade appear blacker and whites get whiter.

Contrast ratio simply means capacity of a panel to show number of color shades of a single color tone. more the contrast ratio more natural is the capture.

FPS - Frame Rate Per Second

Having a higher Frame Rate helps reduce blurring and the viewer gets a better experience when watching fast moving scenes like Sports or paying games.

Response Time:- Response Time is the difference between 2 frames. Hence, it is a measure of how long a display takes to change the image. Response Time is measured in milliseconds.

Viewing angle of a Mobile / TV is maximum angle at which the display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance.

For good viewing, it is essential, that the vertical viewing angle of a television, is also taken into consideration. When placing the television, care should be taken, that the line of sight stays within the 15 degree angle.
